Advertising Job Hunt

It’s that time of year again – that’s right, it’s time for the San Diego ADDYs! What are the ADDYs? They're the advertising industry’s largest creative competition and award show. Over 200 Ad Clubs across the country participate in the competition each year. This an excellent opportunity to showcase your talent and skills. Just submit your best advertising and marketing campaigns from 2008 by visiting the official ADDY Awards website.

So what happens if you win? San Diego winners are forwarded and judged at the district competition. District winners are then forwarded to the AAF National ADDY competition.

For those job hunting or just getting started in the advertising industry, talk about a great way to differentiate yourself from the slew of well qualified advertising professionals. As you know, the best way to differentiate your resume from others is with accomplishments.

How to Enter

Use the following directions posted on San Diego Ad Club

• Gather best work from 2008

• Register online and fill out online entry forms. Click here to go to the online registration system.

• Make two complete sets of each entry. We’ll use one for The Raid and judging … then we’ll have a pristine copy for the Creative Show.

• Avoid late fees! Drop off entries at the Ad Club office by February 6th!

• Want to add more entries? Just go back online and access your account-remember to write down your password. Late deadline is February 13th (costs $20.00 more!)

• Make sure each entry has the entry number affixed to the back

• When dropping off entries remember to bring a printout of your manifest form and payment. (check or credit card)

• Email a jpeg image of each entry plus your company logo to addys@sandiegoadclub.com
